In the 10kV distribution network, the integration of primary and secondary ring network cabinets is a commonly used method for intelligent terminal substation equipment. The true meaning of the ring network cage is to serve as a switchgear for routing cables within the ring network, which can be a circuit breaker cabinet, a load switch cabinet, or a switchgear consisting of a high-voltage load switch and a circuit breaker. 1. Cost-Effective Investment Projects: Even with the addition of a high-voltage circuit breaker, a single SF6 switchgear unit would only require a budget of a few tens of thousands. Compared to the trend of engineering budgets for circuit breaker cabinets, which can be as high as 30,000, and imported main power switches that can reach 100,000 per unit, significant cost savings are achieved.
2. Practical maintenance and upkeep. The use of a high-voltage load switch configuration with a total of circuit breakers for transformer maintenance and upkeep yields better expected results than the circuit breaker power main switch, as the circuit breaker can quickly disconnect the short-circuit capacity within 10ms, preventing damage to the transformer. In contrast, the disconnection of the circuit breaker power main switch involves relay maintenance time, contact time, and arc time, which sums up to approximately 60ms. If the transformer's short-circuit issue is disconnected within 20ms, it is less likely to result in an explosion.
3. Compact size with minimal footprint. The ring network cage is small in size, which can save a considerable amount of indoor space compared to circuit breakers and switchgear cabinets. It can even integrate primary and secondary ring network cages into a single enclosure, forming a ring network switchgear, allowing for quick disconnection of the power circuit in common fault situations.
4. Installation is quick and easy, conducive to expansion. The integration of primary and secondary fusion mesh cage is easy to install and quick, as it doesn't require trenching or excavation. If the switchgear is mounted on round steel, it can be done. When it is necessary to install solid wood cabinets, they can be installed alongside the switchgear, with horizontal busbars connected.
5. Faster repairs to the power supply and distribution system. Each substation within the integrated primary-secondary ring network box is equipped with an intelligent system controller, allowing operators to remotely monitor the operation of the ring network without leaving their location. This enables the identification of common issues, safety protection against these issues, and the restoration of the power supply and distribution system.
