Case Study | Longking Group: BI Empowers Comprehensive Group Enterprise Management


This is the third issue of our Pikoo Data BI project, where we will showcase our solutions through management challenges, application goals, deployment architecture, and key application scenarios. We aim to demonstrate our product and service capabilities, as Pikoo Data is committed to creating a one-stop enterprise-level BI visualization analysis platform for businesses.

Established on October 18, 1999, the group has, since its inception, thrived under the support of all levels of government, the community, and the people of the entire county. Driven by an indomitable spirit of perseverance, an innovative and pragmatic approach, and a mindset of scientific development, the company has faced challenges head-on, embraced exploration, and continually innovated, evolving from small to large, and from weak to strong, while maintaining a sustained, healthy, and stable development trajectory. Currently, the group has one fully-owned subsidiary and five控股 companies. Its business scope includes copper mining, beneficiation, smelting, electrolysis, hotel services, real estate development, forestry operations, coking products, and magnesium alloy trading. In December 2007, the group was recognized as one of the "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi Province" by the Shanxi Administration for Market Regulation.



Management Challenges


Wulong Group is a standard U8 financial, supply chain, and multi-system user. Unlike traditional single-industry players, Wulong Group's operations span multiple sectors including mining, trade, real estate, hotels, smelting, forestry, and commerce. With numerous subsidiaries, each with unique key performance indicators, the group faces certain challenges in data analysis and statistics.


The company has accumulated a vast volume of historical data, spanning multiple industries and involving numerous business systems. Management urgently needs to integrate and analyze data across various company systems, then "translate" it into clear and concise data results that are immediately understandable to senior management.

The integration of data from multiple business systems within the group has broken down data silos, unified and standardized the data analysis criteria of various branches and subsidiaries. Based on actual customer needs, we have provided analysis content across multiple business modules, completing over 40 pages of analysis display on the PC platform and over 20 pages on the mobile platform, covering analysis content for the magnesium industry, coal mining, catering, human resources, and hotel sectors.


By leveraging business intelligence as a platform, the group has achieved the centralized management of multiple account sets, providing a reliable data foundation for comprehensive and unified management and operational analysis. Through the network, daily data extraction and centralization is implemented, offering managers a scientific basis for real-time control of business conditions. On the data integration platform of business intelligence, managers can freely and conveniently view the operational status of subordinate enterprises at any time, addressing issues such as long statistical cycles, inaccurate data, poor timeliness, and difficulty in unifying information under the previous reporting model.

By analyzing the seating occupancy rates in the hotel lobby, we gain insights into the comparison of space utilization rates at different times and locations, as well as year-on-year and month-on-month trends, effectively predicting future occupancy rates and making timely adjustments. Additionally, by conducting direct comparisons of revenue across different time periods and analyzing trends, we promptly understand the relationship between occupancy rates and revenue, achieving increased profits with increased occupancy.


Gas Quality Analysis


By analyzing the daily output value of gas, we promptly and effectively gain insights into daily conditions and comparisons between days; simultaneously, from daily to monthly, automatic summarization and comparative analysis are conducted at monthly and quarterly intervals, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of both the stage and daily gas conditions.


Customer Retention Analysis


Analyzing clients is a direct and effective way to boost revenue and generate profits. By keeping track of current clients' activity, we promptly follow up to maintain engagement and ensure their continued support for our business. Processing ore volumes, analysis of refined copper copper content


We conduct an annual comparative and year-on-year analysis of ore volume and refined copper copper content to overall control their output. Simultaneously, by linking each year and product directly to the specific monthly production of that year, we perform a direct, from-annual-to-monthly comprehensive analysis. At the same time, we observe trends through year-on-year comparisons to identify gaps.

Stay updated with daily business bulletins through the mobile app, unrestricted by time or location. The mobile platform effectively addresses current issues, while the analyzed data is indistinguishable from traditional PC analysis, ensuring timely and efficient, quick and convenient operations.
