Cold Spray

Cold spray is a metal spraying process for the substrate surface. It does not require melting the sprayed metal particles, so the temperature generated on the substrate surface does not exceed 150 degrees Celsius. It has many Chinese aliases: gas dynamic spray, cold spray, gas dynamic cold spray rapid spray, moving metalization, power spray, and power metalization, etc. The English name for cold spray is: GDS (Gas Dynamic Spray) or GDCS (Gas Dynamic Cold Spray).

Operating Principle:

The theoretical foundation of cold spray is that compressed air accelerates metal particles to the Mach limit (supersonic), where the particles strike the substrate surface and undergo physical deformation. The metal particles flatten upon impact on the substrate surface and adhere firmly, without being melted throughout the process. Technical characteristics:

The surface temperature of the spraying machine's body shall not exceed 150 degrees Celsius at any instant.

Perceived temperature of 70 degrees

Good coating denseness

Can be sprayed with any thickness of coating layer

Can be sprayed onto any metal, glass, ceramic, and rock surfaces.
