The standard snooker pool table dimensions are 3820mm x 2035mm x 850mm. Snooker is a pocket billiards game. The table is approximately 3569mm long and 1778mm wide, with each corner and the center of the two long sides having a ball hole. The game uses 1 white ball, 15 red balls, and 6 colored balls (yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, and black), totaling 22 balls.

The table is surrounded by four pockets, with two at each end of the table—those at the end nearest the cue ball are called the top pockets, and those at the end nearest the foot of the table are called the bottom pockets. Additionally, there are two pockets in the center of the long sides of the table, known as the middle pockets. The width of the pockets should comply with the standards set by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).

Alternately pocket red and colored balls until all the red balls are off the table, then pocket the colored balls in ascending order of their value until they are all off. Shots must be made in the sequence of one red followed by one colored. If, after a shot, a ball is blocked so that the opponent cannot hit the cue ball to allow it to pass completely through both sides of any ball in a straight line, it is called a snooker.

During the game, a lucky ball counts as 1 point, and the maximum score for a single stroke is 147 points. Players use the same main ball to strike the target balls. There are a total of 21 target balls, including: 15 red balls worth 1 point each; 2 yellow balls worth 2 points each; 3 green balls worth 3 points each; 4 coffee balls worth 4 points each; 5 blue balls worth 5 points each; 6 pink balls worth 6 points each; and 7 black balls worth 7 points each.
