Working Principle

The working principle of the hydraulic expansion fixture primarily relies on the thermal expansion and contraction properties of liquids. The fixture consists of the fixture body, liquid (usually water or oil), pipes, and a control system. By adjusting the temperature of the liquid, the clamping or releasing of the workpiece is achieved. Specifically, when clamping the workpiece is required, the control system raises the temperature of the liquid, causing it to expand and thereby increasing the clamping force of the fixture body; conversely, when releasing the workpiece is needed, the control system lowers the temperature of the liquid, causing it to contract and reducing the clamping force of the fixture body.

Another type of liquid胀胀clamp utilizes static pressure expansion technology. After applying pressure to the clamp, the hydraulic medium generates pressure under the action of the pressure mechanism, forcing the deforming element to uniformly elastic deform over the entire clamping range in a 360° circumferential direction, thereby achieving tightness on the locating hole or shaft of the workpiece.
