Pipes form scale during the rolling of raw materials like steel pipes, steel plates, and stainless steel. Rust, slag from welding, and oil-based rust inhibitors applied for corrosion prevention, along with impurities such as dust, sand, cement, and insulation materials, accumulate during manufacturing, storage, and installation. These scales, rust, slag, inhibitors, and sediment severely impair the normal operation of pipes. Therefore, cleaning the pipes is necessary to restore the original material surface inside. After cleaning, a dense chemical passivation film forms on the clean metal surface, effectively preventing the recurrence of dirt and protecting the equipment from corrosion or other chemical damage, ensuring equipment safety and extending its service life.

Chemical Cleaning: Chemical cleaning of pipelines involves temporarily modifying the pipes using chemicals. It employs temporary pipelines and circulating pump stations to perform a recirculating chemical cleaning from both ends of the pipeline. This technique boasts strong flexibility, no requirement for pipeline shape, rapid speed, and thorough cleaning.

2. High-pressure Water Jet Cleaning: Utilizes a high-pressure water jet of over 50MPa to strip and clean the internal surface dirt of pipelines. This technology is primarily used for short-distance pipelines and requires pipeline diameters to be greater than 50cm. It boasts features such as fast speed and low cost.

3. PIG Pipeline Cleaning: The PIG industrial pipeline cleaning technology relies on the propelling force generated by a pump to drive the PIG (cleaning pig) forward within the pipeline, discharging accumulated debris from the pipeline to the outside, thereby achieving the cleaning objective. This technique is widely used in cleaning projects for various process pipelines, oilfield oil and gas transmission pipelines, etc., particularly for the cleaning of pipelines over long distances transporting fluids, offering advantages that cannot be matched by other technologies.

Cleaning urban water supply pipelines is an essential task. It not only enhances pipeline efficiency and reduces energy consumption but also clears pipeline dirt, eliminates secondary pollution, and improves water quality, ensuring public health and well-being.

1. Cut a section of the pipeline to be cleaned, then insert a pig equipped with an electronic tracking transmitter into the short pipe. Connect the pipeline using clamps (or welding) and begin flowing water (or gas) to activate the pig's operation.

2. Engineering technicians carry electronic positioning receivers to track the operation of the pig along the pipeline.

3. A significant and increasing concentration of wastewater is observed at the pipeline terminal.

4. The cleaner reaches the terminal, wastewater gradually disappears, and the cleaning process ends.
