Technical Key Points

1. The base material for spraying is a crucial factor for the success of the spraying process. Sphagnum peat is an excellent material for spraying, which can be mixed with wood fibers (or pulp) in a certain ratio for use. This mixture offers superior adhesion and water retention properties compared to using pure wood fibers alone. It is suitable for spraying on slopes with thin soil layers, extremely barren land, or even weathered rock, with an average spraying thickness of about 10 cm.
2. Water-retaining agent and adhesive usage. The water-retaining agent can be adjusted according to local climate conditions and the characteristics of different stone quarries; the adhesive can be determined based on the slope of the stone wall, with a direct proportion to the slope's degree.
3. Anchor and Mesh. First, secure the anchor pins at certain intervals on the stone wall, then hang the mesh. The mesh is typically made of galvanized iron wire (also known as woven wire mesh, latticework mesh, or machine-knitted mesh).
4. Seed Selection: The grass seeds to be broadcast should be perennial varieties with well-developed root systems, quick to establish into a lawn, drought-resistant, and tolerant of poor soil conditions; if the local winter is cold, consider the variety's frost resistance as well.
5. Mixed Sowing. Utilize the complementary characteristics of grass seeds, such as deep-rooted and shallow-rooted, leguminous and graminaceous, exotic and local, early and late development, etc., for mixed broadcast sowing.
