Key Technical Points

1. The base material for spraying is a crucial factor for the success of the spraying process. Sphagnum peat is an excellent material for spraying and can be mixed with wood fibers (or pulp) in a certain ratio for use, offering superior adhesion and water retention properties compared to using pure wood fibers alone. It can be used for spraying on slopes with thin soil layers and extremely barren, even weathered rock, with the general thickness of the spraying being around 10cm.
2. Water Retention Agent and Adhesive Usage. The amount of water retention agent can be adjusted according to the varying climatic conditions and characteristics of the stone quarries; the adhesive amount depends on the slope of the stone wall, with a direct proportionality to the slope size.
3. Anchoring and Netting. First, fix the anchor pins at certain intervals on the stone wall, then hang the net. The net is typically made of galvanized wire mesh (also known as welded wire mesh, grill mesh, or machine-woven mesh).
4. Turf Seed Selection. The seeds to be sown should be perennial varieties with robust root systems, quick to establish into a lawn, drought-resistant, and tolerant of poor soil conditions; if the local winter is cold, consider the frost resistance of the variety as well.
5. Mixed Sowing. Utilizing the complementary characteristics of grass seeds, such as deep and shallow root systems, legumes and grasses, local and imported varieties, and early and late development, for mixed spraying sowing.
