EPE pearl cotton is a new type of environmentally friendly packaging material. Made from low-density polyethylene, it consists of numerous independent bubbles produced through physical foaming. It overcomes the shortcomings of ordinary foam materials, such as fragility, deformation, and poor resilience. It boasts many advantages, including waterproof and moisture-proof, shockproof, soundproof, thermal insulation, excellent plasticity, high tensile strength, recyclability, environmental friendliness, strong impact resistance, and excellent chemical resistance. It is an ideal substitute for traditional packaging materials. It is widely used in the packaging of electronic appliances, instruments, computers, audio equipment, industrial control cabinets, lighting, handicrafts, glass, ceramics, household appliances, coatings, furniture, alcoholic beverages, gift packaging, hardware products, toys, fruits and vegetables, leather shoes, and a variety of daily-use products. Adding antistatic agents and flame retardants enhances its performance even further.
EPE foam is extensively used for the elastic linings of bags and luggage, as sound and heat insulation materials in industrial production, agricultural thermal insulation materials, floating equipment for aquaculture, protective pads for sports equipment, lifesaving equipment for water operations, as well as flooring and padding for homes and hotels. Its piping is widely employed in industries such as air conditioning, children's strollers, toys, and furniture.
EPE adhesive products and various fabric combinations are excellent interior materials for a wide range of vehicles and living spaces. Composites of EPE with aluminum foil or aluminum-coated films offer superior infrared and ultraviolet reflection capabilities, serving as substitutes for some chemical equipment refrigeration units and car awnings for camping gear.
