Flat Plate Bubble Diffusers are a new type of aeration device developed in the 1980s. These diffusers feature small bubble diameters, small gas-liquid interface diameters, and a large gas-liquid interface area, resulting in uniform bubble diffusion without clogging. They are highly corrosion-resistant. They have been tested for oxygenation of both clean and wastewater by the Environmental Engineering College of Tongji University in Shanghai and the North China Design Institute of Municipal Engineering. After being used by over 50 customers for many years, they have proven to be effective (reducing energy consumption by 40% compared to conventional fixed propeller diffusers, scattered jet diffusers, and perforated pipe diffusers, or increasing wastewater treatment capacity by 40%). They are particularly suitable for new and expanded urban wastewater treatment plants and the renovation of old aeration ponds, and the aeration ponds can operate intermittently.
