How to remove rust from rebar? Hubei Wafang Rust Removal Technology Co., Ltd. adopts the following rebar rust removal methods based on customer requirements:
Currently, the process of de-rusting steel rebars by immersion is still in the exploratory stage, although a user manual for the de-rusting agent has been compiled. When promoting the immersion de-rusting agent for steel rebars, please note the following points:
1. The steel rebar pickling for rust removal refers specifically to BF-01; do not mention BF-02. Simply state that BF-02 is not to be used (in fact, the pickling effect of BF-02 is poor, and the rust does not come off even after a night).
2. Rebar rust remover dipping solution is used undiluted.
3. The de-rusting immersion time for rebars is generally around 30-60 minutes. For lightly rusted rebars, they can be taken out after about 10 seconds of soaking in the槽液 (a technical term for the liquid in a pool), then dried. Essentially, it's the same as applying a de-rusting agent to lightly rusted rebars, but done by immersion for a more even and water-saving application.
4. Reinforcement steel pickling rust removal cost issue: Approximately 6 kg of rust removal agent is consumed per ton of reinforcement steel. Including trenching (commonly, a one-time trenching requires 3 tons) and subsequent disposal due to contamination, the normal consumption rate is about 10 kg of rust removal agent per ton of steel.
