Rail alignment steps. Firstly, use the holding pressure function of the stretcher to adjust the rail gap, setting the width according to the operation manual provided by the welding equipment manufacturer. German welding typically measures at the rail foot, with a reserved rail gap of 27-30mm; French welding measures at the rail head, with a reserved rail gap of 25-28mm. During adjustment, ensure the width of the rail gap is uniform and avoid gaps larger than at the rail head at the rail bottom.

Next is the measurement of the rail head. Use a pointed gage or other reference to measure, and set the appropriate point position according to the manufacturer's operating manual for different welding equipment (e.g., for German welding, set a1 to 8-3mm, for French welding, set different values based on wooden sleepers and concrete sleepers). At the same time, ensure there is no misalignment in the horizontal position of the rail head.

Then, attention must be given to the alignment of the foot during unequal tilt adjustments, ensuring no misalignment occurs.

Finally, adjust the positive difference. After the尖点 alignment meets the set requirements, proceed with the height difference adjustment. During adjustment, keep the end with more wear stationary, and only adjust the end with less wear (i.e., the new track). If the height difference between the new and old tracks is less than 2mm, the track bottom should be level, and the height difference should be reserved at the track top; if the height difference is greater than 2mm but less than 4mm, adjust the track bottom and top misalignment according to the specific situation, ensuring the misalignment does not exceed 2mm, and follow the principle of even distribution.
