Mainly includes the following types:
① Propeller stirrer - Composed of 2 to 3 propeller blades (Figure 2), operates at a high rotational speed, with the peripheral speed of the blade edge typically around 5 to 15 m/s. The propeller stirrer primarily generates axial liquid flow, producing a large circulation volume, and is suitable for stirring low viscosity liquids (<2 Pa·s), emulsions, and suspensions with less than 10% solid particle content. The stirrer's shaft can also be inserted horizontally or diagonally into the trough, at which point the circulation loop of the liquid flow is asymmetric, which can increase turbulence and prevent liquid surface indentation.
② Turbine Agitator - Composed of 2 to 4 straight or curved blades mounted on a horizontal disk (Figure 3). The ratio of the blade's outer diameter, width, and height is generally 20:5:4, with a circumferential speed of 3 to 8 m/s. The turbine generates a highly turbulent radial flow during rotation, suitable for dispersing gases and immiscible liquids, as well as for liquid-liquid phase reactions. The viscosity of the liquid being agitated typically does not exceed 25 Pa·s.
③ Propeller Mixers - Available in flat and inclined types. The flat propeller mixer consists of two straight blades. The ratio of blade diameter to height is 4-10, with a peripheral speed of 1.5-3 m/s, resulting in low radial flow velocity. The inclined propeller mixer (Figure 4) has blades that are bent at 45° or 60° to each other, thus creating axial flow. Propeller mixers are simple and commonly used for mixing low-viscosity liquids, as well as dissolving and suspending solid particles.
④ Anchor Stirrer - The blade outer edge shape should match the inner wall of the mixing tank (Figure 5), with only a very small gap between them, which can remove sticky reaction products adhering to the tank wall or solid matter accumulated at the bottom of the tank, maintaining good heat transfer efficiency. The peripheral speed of the blade outer edge is 0.5 to 1.5 m/s, suitable for stirring Newtonian and pseudo-plastic fluids with a viscosity up to 200 Pa·s (see Viscous Flow). However, when stirring highly viscous liquids, there is a larger stagnant area within the liquid layer.
⑤ Screw blade stirrer – The outer diameter of the screw is equal to the pitch (Figure 6),***used for stirring high viscosity liquids (200-500 Pa·s) and pseudoplastic fluids, typically operating in laminar flow conditions.
⑥ Magnetic Stirrer - The Corning digital heater features a closed-loop control to monitor and adjust the stirring speed. The microprocessor automatically adjusts the motor power to accommodate water quality, viscosity solutions, and semi-solids.
⑦ Magnetic Heating Stirrer - Corning digital heating stirrer with optional external temperature controller (Ca. No. 6795PR), which can also monitor and control the temperature inside the container.

Application Scope
