Placement of Pixiu:
If you're in a position of authority, go for something with a large backside—it symbolizes stability. If you're in business, choose something with a big belly—it signifies prosperity. And if you have children, go for something with wings—it represents soaring success.
The Pixiu is a mythical creature in Feng Shui believed to guard homes, transform evil into good, and is particularly adept at resolving the Five Yellow, Sky Slaying, Heart Piercing, sickle, corner, blade, White Tiger, Yin Qi, and Er He evil energies. Therefore, the Pixiu possesses three main functions: warding off evil, transforming evil, and bringing prosperity.
Don't face the bed; it's not beneficial for yourself.
Do not face the main door, as there are door gods or wealth gods there; the Pixiu does not have the authority.
Do not face the mirror, as it may generate a light curse.
Taboo of Placing the Pixiu:
One, place the Pi Xiu diagonally opposite the door or window, ideally where you can see a path with pedestrians or vehicles passing through the window or door, as the Pi Xiu is associated with wealth, specifically the wealth of strangers or outside sources.
The Pixiu cannot accept incense offerings.
Three, the Pi Xiu cannot be placed at the height of the three treasures of heaven, earth, and man <i.e., cannot stand directly on the ground, nor can it exceed the head of a person>.
Four, avoid bloodstains and bodily fluids from sexual activity. All consecrated objects must be kept free from impurities.
Avoid lightly touching the eyes and mouth of the Pi Xiu; the eyes are for seeking wealth, and the mouth is for holding it.
Upon receiving the Pixiu, one person should open it and gently rub from its ears to the tail a few times before placing it. Avoid allowing others to touch it easily, as it's not too good for others or for yourself. After touching it, it's best to rinse it with clean water, and let the Pixiu's eyes and mouth naturally dry after cleaning.
Seven: To nourish the Pixiu, a cup of clean water is required, and the cup must not be higher than the Pixiu's mouth. The water should be kept clean and sufficient at all times.
The Pixiu is not within the five elements and has no relation to the eight characters or the yin-yang positions.
Nine: The two Pixiu can be placed in a straight line, or in an inward or outward 'eight' shape.
Taboo for Feeding the Pixiu:
The incense burner should not contain sand or earth; instead, it should be filled with ginger rice, pearl rice, and black rice.
Do not clean the Pi Xiu frequently; there are only four cleaning times each year, calculated according to the lunar calendar.
Do not arbitrarily move or touch the Pi Xiu's mouth or head. When moving, wrap the head with red silk first.
4. Pears and strawberries (their sounds are not auspicious) should not be included in the offerings. No other restrictions apply.
5. It is strictly prohibited to burn incense or touch a Pi Xiu when a woman is experiencing physical discomfort (Pi Xiu is忌of light, blood, and fetus).
