DOW ultrafiltration technology is an advanced membrane separation technique developed based on the progress of material science, and has been widely applied in various fields of industrial and municipal construction.
DOW Ultrafiltration uses polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) material and features a bilayer hollow fiber structure. With a small nominal pore size in PVDF ultrafiltration membranes used in industrial applications, it can remove almost all particulates, bacteria (removal rate of 4-10g), most viruses, and colloids. Despite its small pore size, the high porosity allows for a flux comparable to microfiltration, making it a better choice over microfiltration in most cases. The DOW Ultrafiltration employs an external pressure structure that is less prone to clogging, offering higher turbidity rejection, a larger filtration area, and easier, more thorough cleaning. The flow design primarily focuses on full-flow filtration, but the components can also be conveniently converted to cross-flow filtration mode. In the water treatment field, ultrafiltration can be used to remove particulates, colloids, bacteria, heat sources, proteins, and high-molecular organic compounds from the effluent.
