High-Temperature Alloys Knowledge
High-temperature alloys are a type of alloy used under high temperatures, in severe mechanical stresses, and in environments with oxidation and corrosion. With the advancement of technology, high-temperature alloys have gradually developed into six relatively complete parts.
One. Deformed high-temperature alloy
Forming high-temperature alloys are a type of alloy that can undergo both hot and cold deformation processing, with a working temperature range of -253 to 1320°C. They possess excellent mechanical properties and comprehensive strength and toughness indices, as well as high oxidation and corrosion resistance. They can be categorized into solution strengthened alloys and aging strengthened alloys based on their heat treatment processes.

1. Solid solution strengthened alloy
The temperature range for use is 900~1300°C, with an oxidation temperature up to 1320°C. For example, GH128 alloy has a tensile strength of 850MPa and a yield strength of 350MPa at room temperature; a tensile strength of 140MPa and an elongation of 85% at 1000°C; a tensile strength of 140MPa and an elongation of 40% at 1000°C and 30MPa stress, with a service life of 200 hours. Austenitic alloys are generally used for manufacturing components such as combustion chambers and casings for aerospace and aviation engines.

2. Time-sensitive Reinforced Alloy
Operates at temperatures ranging from -253°C to 950°C, commonly used in the production of turbine disks and blades for aviation and aerospace engines, as well as other structural components. The alloy for manufacturing turbine disks works at temperatures from -253°C to 700°C, requiring excellent high and low temperature strength and fatigue resistance. For example, the GH4169 alloy has a yield strength of 1000 MPa at 650°C; the alloy for making blades can reach 950°C, such as the GH220 alloy, which has a tensile strength of 490 MPa at 950°C, and a tensile strength of 200 MPa at 940°C with a service life exceeding 40 hours.

Deformed high-temperature alloys primarily supply structural forgings, billets, rings, bars, plates, tubes, strips, and wires for aerospace, aviation, nuclear energy, and civil oil industries.
High-temperature alloys are a broad category with various grades, as each material will have different densities.
Incoloy 800H is a Fe-Ni-Cr based solid solution strengthened deformed high-temperature corrosion-resistant alloy used below 1000°C. Shanghai Yuan Ding believes that Incoloy 800H boasts excellent resistance to high-temperature internal corrosion and good processability. It has good microstructural stability, excellent machining and welding properties, and is easily formable through both cold and hot working. It is suitable for manufacturing parts that operate under severe corrosive conditions and require high-temperature, long-duration service, primarily in the form of bars, plates, tubes, strips, and forgings.
