Voice Coil Linear Motor, also known as a Lorentz motor or scanner motor, is named for its structure resembling a speaker's voice coil. It is a high-speed, direct-drive motor with fast response time. Voice coil motors feature zero hysteresis, zero cogging effect, high frequency response, high acceleration, high speed, excellent force characteristics, easy control, compact size, and high resolution. Abroad, voice coil motors are regarded as an excellent servo drive unit. Depending on the configuration of the drive, feedback, controller, and control algorithm, voice coil motors typically achieve a motion frequency of 500-1000Hz, and even higher.

The oscillating voice coil motor utilizes technology from the rectangular series products, bending them to achieve a certain angle for positioning, catering to angular movement. The RS series offers a swing angle of 90 degrees and a torque of up to 50 N-m. Oscillating voice coil motor products are applied in laser technology for mirror positioners, oscillating valve brakes, positioning systems, and flight controllers. They are involved in the semiconductor industry, automation, and the aerospace industry. Oscillating voice coil motors are also known as--galvanometer motors.

Voice coil motors are primarily used in short-travel, high-speed, and high-acceleration movements, ideal for confined spaces; a common application is the autofocus feature in smartphone cameras, which is entirely handled by the drive unit. The cylindrical voice coil motor series is widely used in the market. These motors have a high acceleration rate and can generate powerful forces from 0.7N to 1000N, with a stroke of less than 50mm. This motor is mainly used in fields such as medical, semiconductor, aviation, and automotive industries, including valve brakes, small replacement measuring instruments, vibration platforms, and active vibration damping systems, among many other applications.
