Voice coil linear motors, also known as Lorentz motors or mirror motors, are named for their structure resembling a loudspeaker's voice coil. They are fast-response, direct-drive motors with zero hysteresis and cogging effects, offering high frequency response, acceleration, speed, good force characteristics, easy control, small size, and resolution. Abroad, voice coil motors are considered excellent servo drive units. Depending on the configuration of the drive, feedback, controller, and control algorithm, voice coil motors typically achieve motion frequencies of 500-1000 Hz, even higher.

Cylindrical solenoid motors, due to their ability to provide high thrust and speed, are widely used. These motors can generate a powerful force ranging from 0.7N to 2500N, thus occupying 80% or even higher of the market share, with their stroke generally not exceeding 50mm.

The air-bearing platform for voice coil motors utilizes air-bearing guides and operates stably. This levitation is achieved through pressure air introduced into the bearing cavity, with extremely small pressure relief gaps, ensuring the floating of the rotating shaft. It boasts high speed, zero friction, no wear, no need for lubrication, excellent speed control, and no noise. Due to the numerous advantages of air-bearing guides, an increasing number of application fields are now replacing conventional mechanical bearings with air bearings.
