Rockery sculptures are a common sight in communities and parks. The common materials for making these are cement and stone, but these are typically found in large rockery sculptures. Small rockery sculptures are usually found indoors, mostly made of resin, and can be seen in many hotels. Stainless steel rockery sculptures are generally small and can be placed in community areas, roadside green belts, etc., and can be crafted into various shapes. As for colors, they are usually painted or baked.

3D Modeling

After confirming production, review the 3D product model to see if there are any necessary modifications in the overall product design. It can directly present the final product's shape and proportion. Communicate with the client after the initial modeling to discuss any required changes, and continue to revise until the client is satisfied.

2. Print 3D Prototypes

Upon confirmation of the 3D modeling effect, a 3D prototype will be printed to show the client the actual product in a smaller scale. Subsequently, a 1:1 foam model will be produced, and the foam modeler will forge and hammer stainless steel to number the product sections on the foam.

3. Stainless Steel Material Forging

Place the stainless steel plate on the mold, strike it on the spot, unload according to the different shapes of the mold parts, and strike with conscious rhythm according to their undulations. Bend it while striking, and you can strike any tangible, sturdy object. Then, compare the struck stainless steel plate with the mold and confirm the shape is correct, allowing for a complete closure with the model. Subsequently, weld the struck stainless steel plate from top to bottom, ensuring each connected plate is adjusted against the mold, and must be forged while forming. Forging points can also be done before cutting the material. When forging points, use the round end of the hammer head to forge uniformly and regularly in rows, with consistent width, spacing, and force.

Welding Formation:

Welding, sandblasting, and painting. Once the forging shape is correct, welding is performed according to the job requirements (either electric or argon arc welding). After welding and sandblasting, the smoothness and flatness of the welding area must be adjusted. Only after achieving a smooth and even surface can the next step in the workflow be carried out.

5. Surface Painting/Polishing

Stainless steel polishing first smooths the welds and parts using an abrasive wheel, then polishes with a soft abrasive wheel (cloth wheel). Apply polishing compound during the polishing process for better lubrication, resulting in a brighter finish and an aesthetically pleasing visual. Next, as per requirements, paint or proceed to the polishing process, and conduct a visual inspection for defects such as leaks in welding, insufficient welding, uneven weld point depth, excessive deviation from the seam, local dents, uneven joints, deep scratches, abrasions, or severe deformation that cannot be corrected during this process. If any of these defects are present, the item should be returned to the previous stage. If no defects are found, proceed with the polishing operation. Polishing and finishing of stainless steel sculptures requires three steps: coarse grinding, semi-finishing, and finishing.

6. Post-sales Installation

Generally, it is welded for better stability, meaning the skeletal structure of the sculpture itself is welded to the embedded iron on the base, and the structural steel bars are welded below the embedded iron, with the length of the steel bars and the size of the embedded iron determined based on the sculpture's dimensions. For aesthetic purposes, after the sculpture design is completed, the base is then covered with marble or grass on the ground.
