Magna-Mike 8600 Magna-Mike 8600This is a portable thickness gauge that utilizes a simple magnetic method for reliable and highly reproducible thickness measurements on non-ferrous materials. The Magna-Mike gauge is extremely easy to operate. During measurement, hold or move the magnetic probe on one side of the material being measured, and place a small target steel ball (or target disc, target steel wire) on the other side of the material or inside a container. The Hall effect sensor in the probe measures the distance from the probe tip to the target steel ball. The measured distance is immediately displayed on the screen in large, colorful font as the thickness reading.
