Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a product composed of main raw materials such as epoxy, zinc phosphate, and fillers, along with thickeners, additives, solvents, etc. It features rapid natural drying, strong adhesion, and excellent corrosion resistance. The national standard for epoxy zinc-rich primer contains 70% zinc, while non-standard types may contain 30% or 50% zinc. The majority of commonly available epoxy zinc-rich primers on the market contain approximately 30% zinc.
Excellent corrosion resistance, strong adhesion, high zinc powder content in the coating for cathodic protection, and superior water resistance.
Complementary primer for heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, offering cathodic protection, suitable for tank linings, containers, steel structures, steel pipes, offshore platforms, vessels, harbor facilities, and bottom coatings for harsh corrosion environments. Application reference: 1. Recommended film thickness: 60-80um. 2. The surface of the coated item must be free of oxidation scale, rust, oil, etc. 3. Consumption: 0.2-0.25 kg per square meter (excluding loss). 4. Use the paint within 6 hours after mixing. 5. Brushing, air spraying, and rolling are all acceptable. 6. Continuous stirring is required during application to prevent settlement. 7. Coating intervals: short interval (material temperature: 5-10°C, 15-20°C, 25-30°C) - 48 hours, 24 hours, long interval - no more than 7 days. 8. The material temperature must be above the dew point by more than 3°C. If the material temperature is below 5°C, the paint film will not cure, so application is not recommended. 9. After opening the can of the A component, it must be well-mixed, then, while stirring, the B component is added to the A component according to the mixing ratio, thoroughly mixed, allowed to stand for 30 minutes, and then a suitable amount of thinner is added to adjust to the application viscosity.
