Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning

Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel deslagging pipelines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A solution of a certain concentration is added, and it circulates through the sludge water pipelines for cleaning. Additionally, acid is continuously replenished as the acid cleaning process reaches a certain level. For short-distance single sludge water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex and costly.

Open Channel Cleaning

No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only single-pipe open-circuit cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning device and continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, then continuously or intermittently injecting it into the ash pipe. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous operation cleaning

The process involves continuously injecting a specific amount of acidic solution while simultaneously introducing a certain quantity of ash-pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent. This is an open-loop cleaning method. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the occurrence of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash-pipe cleaning.

Operation procedure: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid quantity based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and sludge transport line flow rate for the corrosion inhibitor and pipeline descaler based on the sludge flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front of the sludge line at 30-minute intervals to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stages of cleaning, test the pH value at the end of the sludge line every 15 minutes. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be considered complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
The advantages of high-pressure water technology include:

(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: The high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipes and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and blockages from inside, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and ultra-sonic movement, is fully capable of destroying hard scale and blockages without causing any damage to the metal.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of jet washing, wedge splitting, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening techniques, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

3. Pipe Scale

(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and pipe walls, and loose sediment that is easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water precipitating and adhering to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion and speeding up the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
