Chemical cleaning descaling process:

Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning

Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash piping lines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A solution of a certain acidity concentration is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, acid is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipes, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.

Pilot cleaning

No two ash pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only a single ash pipe can be used for open-loop cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the mixture tank, and then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous operation cleaning

The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is running normally without interruption. Simultaneously, a specific amount of ash pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is added for open-circuit cleaning. The main function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the formation of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.

The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the sludge pipeline for the addition of cleaning and corrosion inhibitor based on the sludge flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be considered complete.

2. High-pressure water cleaning machinery:
High-pressure water jetting is used for cleaning, offering advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
The advantages of high-pressure water technology are as follows.

(1) Superior Cleaning Quality - Our high-pressure water jet cleaning effectively removes all scale and blockages from pipes and the interior of heat exchangers, revealing the metal substrate. With immense energy and ultra-sonic speed, the high-pressure water jet is capable of completely destroying hard scale and blockages, yet has no damaging effect on the metal.

(2) Rapid Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined crushing effects of water jet washing, wedge splitting, shearing, and grinding, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning speed several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening techniques, simple mechanical, and manual methods.

3. Pipe Scale

(1) Classified by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and pipe walls, and sediments that are loose and easily detachable.
Scale is primarily formed due to the salts of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals in the boiler feed water that precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, around 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. Scale buildup on the boiler's heating surface significantly worsens heat transfer efficiency, affecting the boiler's performance; it can easily lead to the deterioration of metal materials due to localized overheating, potentially causing tube bursting accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, leading to pipe scale corrosion and hastening the damage to the heating surface. Once scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
