Chemical Cleaning Scale Removal Process
Recirculating Closed-loop Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel deslagging pipelines to form a loop, creating a circulation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, allowing for recirculating cleaning within the sludge water pipes. As the acid cleaning reaches a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished with more acid. For short-distance single sludge water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be installed to form a recirculating loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex and costly.
Pilot cleaning
No two gray pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only a single gray pipe can be used for open-circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the gray pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the mixing tank, and then continuously or intermittently injecting it into the gray pipe. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown
This process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally, without interruption. Simultaneously, a specific quantity of ash pipe operation cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is added, followed by an open-circuit cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing airlock formation, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The operation method is: First, estimate the required acid quantity based on the total scale in the pipeline before cleaning. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaner based on the sludge water flow and acidity. During the cleaning process, collect a sample at the front of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, test the pH value at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning process can be considered complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning machinery
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipes and the inner holes of heat exchangers can completely remove scale and obstructions from the inside, revealing the metal surface. With immense energy and traveling at supersonic speeds, the high-pressure water jet is capable of completely destroying tough scale and obstructions without causing any damage to the metal.
Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Rapid Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined crushing effects of water jet flushing, splitting, shearing, and abrasion, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning process several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot blasting, simple mechanical, and manual methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jet do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical agents must be rinsed off with clean water.

(3) Non-pollution: As high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not produce a large amount of dust like sandblasting or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the air and harm health. It also does not generate a significant amount of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet, using pure water, is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types of scales.
(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and tube walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detachable.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium present in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion and speeding up the damage to the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
