Chemical descaling cleaning process:
Recirculating closed-loop cleaning
Recirculation cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash piping lines to form a loop, creating a circulating system with the cleaning pump station. A solution of a certain concentration is added, and it circulates within the ash water pipeline for cleaning. Additionally, acid is continuously added as the acid washing process reaches a certain level. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculating loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex, with higher costs.
Open Channel Cleaning
No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single ash pipe should be used for open-loop cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit and continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the mixture tank, then injecting it into the ash pipe either continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous cleaning without shutdown
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution into the ash pipe while the ash is being normally transported without stopping. Simultaneously, a certain quantity of ash pipe operating cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is added for open-loop cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning additive is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a specific concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water, reducing airlock formation, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaning agent by considering the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.
2. High-pressure water jet cleaning machinery
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers high efficiency, low costs, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
The high-pressure water technology offers the following advantages.
(1) High-quality cleaning - During high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipe interiors and heat exchanger bores, it can remove all scaling and obstructions from within the pipes, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic movement, is fully capable of destroying hard scaling and obstructions, but has no damaging effect on the metal.
Since the pressure of high-pressure water is less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Rapid Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined fracturing effects of water jet cleaning, wedging, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening techniques, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.
Additionally, parts cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical agents must be rinsed off with clean water.
(3) No Environmental Pollution: As high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not produce a large amount of dust like sandblasting, shot blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the atmosphere and harm health. It also does not generate a large volume of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet cleaning with pure water as the medium is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. After atomization, it can also reduce the dust concentration in the work area, lowering atmospheric dust from 80mg/m³ with other methods to below the national safety standards, thus causing no pollution.

Pipe Scale
(1) Categorized by chemical composition, they can be divided into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is often a mixture of the three types.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and tube walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium present in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can also easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeds up the damage to the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
