Chemical Cleaning Scale Removal Process
Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning
Recirculation cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash drainage pipelines to form a circuit, which, together with the cleaning pump station, constitutes a recirculation system. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, allowing the solution to circulate and clean within the ash water pipes. As the acidic wash reaches a certain level, more acid solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation circuit for cleaning. This process must be carried out when the system is shut down and is complex and costly.
Open Channel Cleaning
No two gray pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single gray pipe should be used for open circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the gray pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the mixing tank, and then continuously or intermittently injecting it into the gray pipe. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous cleaning without shutdown
The process involves continuously injecting a specific amount of acidic fluid while operating, without interrupting the normal transportation of ash in the grey pipes. Simultaneously, a certain quantity of ash pipeline running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is added for open-loop cleaning. The primary role of the cleaning additive is to promote the reaction between the acidic fluid and ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the occurrence of airlock, and ensuring the quality of grey pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: First, estimate the required acid quantity based on the total scale in the pipeline before cleaning. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaner based on the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, collect samples at the front sampling point of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stages of cleaning, take samples at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be considered complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning machinery
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
High-pressure water technology boasts the following advantages.
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality - High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipe and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and obstructions inside, revealing the metal surface. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, is fully capable of destroying hard scale and obstructions without causing any damage to the metal.
The high-pressure water pressure is less than the tensile strength grade of the metal, so high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined actions of jet washing, wedging, shearing, and abrasion, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface must be rinsed with clean water.
(3) No Environmental Pollution: Since high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not generate a large amount of dust like sandblasting or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the atmosphere and harm health. It also does not produce a significant amount of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet cleaning using pure water is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. After atomization, it can also reduce the dust concentration in the work area, lowering atmospheric dust from 80mg/m³ using other methods to below the national safety standards, thus ensuring no pollution is caused.

Pipe Scale
(1) Categorically divided by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and pipe walls, and dense sludge that is easily detached.
Scale primarily forms due to the salts containing calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water that precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. Scale on the boiler's heat-absorbing surface can significantly worsen heat transfer efficiency, affecting the boiler's performance; it can also easily cause metal materials to burn out due to localized overheating, even leading to pipe explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline scale corrosion, and speeds up the damage to the heat-absorbing surface. Once scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
Heat exchanger and refrigeration equipment cleaning, choose Green Chemical for reliability.
