Chemical cleaning descaling process:
Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash removal pipelines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, the acidic solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is shut down, and it is complex and costly.

Preliminary Cleaning
No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single ash pipe should be used for open circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the blending tank, and then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous operation cleaning
This process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipeline is operating normally and not shut down. Simultaneously, a specific amount of ash pipeline operating cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is injected for open-circuit cleaning. The main function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and ash deposits at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing solubility in water and reducing the formation of airlock, ensuring the cleaning quality of the ash pipeline.
The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaning agent by considering the sludge flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jetting is used for cleaning, offering advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, non-polluting the environment, easy operation, and safety.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: The high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipeline and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and blockages inside, revealing the metal substrate. With its immense energy and ultra-sonic speed, the high-pressure water jet is fully capable of destroying tough scale and blockages without causing any damage to the metal.
Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of water jet washing, splitting, shearing, and grinding, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot blasting, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, it includes carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, among others. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and tube walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium, magnesium, and others in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, about 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heat exchange surface, it greatly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily damage metal materials due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion and speeding up the damage to the heat exchange surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
