Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash piping lines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, allowing for circulation and cleaning within the ash water pipes. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, the acidic solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is shut down, and it is complex and costly.

Breakout Cleaning

During cleaning, no two grey pipes can form a loop; only a single grey pipe should be used for open-loop cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the grey pipe to the cleaning device, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the blending tank, and then injecting it into the grey pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases the cost.

Continuous Operation Cleaning

The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally and not shut down, simultaneously adding a certain amount of ash pipe operation cleaning inhibitor and pipeline cleaning descaler for open-loop cleaning. The main function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water and reducing the formation of air blockages, ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.

The procedure is: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the ash slurry pipeline based on the flow rate and acidity of the grey water. During cleaning, take samples at the sampling point at the front end of the ash pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take samples at the end of the ash pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be considered complete.

Pipe Scale
