Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning

Recirculation cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash piping lines to form a loop, creating a circulating system with the cleaning pump station. It introduces a solution of a certain acidity concentration, which circulates within the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid cleaning reaches a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to create a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.

Open road cleaning

No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single ash pipe should be used for open-circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning device, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the fluid tank, and injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires additional cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous operation cleaning

The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally without interruption, simultaneously adding a specific quantity of ash-pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent. This is an open-circuit cleaning method. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water and reducing the formation of air blockages, ensuring the quality of ash-pipe cleaning.

The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaning agent based on the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
High-pressure water technology boasts the following advantages.

(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality - High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipe and heat exchanger bores can completely remove all scale and blockages inside, revealing the metal substrate. With its immense energy and supersonic speed, the high-pressure water jet is fully capable of destroying hard scale and blockages, yet it has no destructive effect on metal.

Since the pressure of high-pressure water is less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the substrate being cleaned.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined crushing actions of water jet flushing, wedging, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot blasting techniques, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

3. Pipe Scale

(1) Categorized by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and tube walls, and loose sediment that is easy to detach.
Scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium in the boiler feedwater that precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel.
