Chemical descaling cleaning process:

Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning

Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel deslagging pipelines to form a loop, creating a circulation system with the cleaning pump station. It involves adding a certain concentration of acidic solution, allowing it to circulate and clean within the sludge water pipeline. As the acid washing decreases to a certain level, the acidic solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single sludge water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex, with higher costs.

Open Channel Cleaning

No two ash pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only single-pipe open circuit cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown

The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally without interruption, simultaneously adding a certain quantity of ash-pipe-running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent for open-circuit cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water and reducing the formation of gas blockages, ensuring the quality of ash-pipe cleaning.

The procedure is: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline, then calculate the acid addition rate and ash flow rate according to the gray water flow and acidity. During cleaning, take samples at the front of the ash pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stages of cleaning, test the pH value at the end of the ash pipe every 15 minutes. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning is efficient, cost-effective, non-damaging to workpieces, environmentally friendly, easy to operate, and safe.
The advantages of high-pressure water technology are as follows.

(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality - High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipeline and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and obstructions from inside the pipes, revealing the metal substrate. With immense energy and moving at supersonic speeds, the high-pressure water jet is fully capable of destroying hard scale and obstructions, yet it exerts no damaging effects on the metal.

Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base being cleaned.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of jet washing, wedge splitting, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning process several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, simple mechanical, and manual methods.

Pipe Scale

(1) Classified by chemical composition, it includes carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, among others. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.undefined

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: a hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and tube walls, and a loose sediment that is easy to detach.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, about 2 to 5 times less than that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion and speeding up the damage to the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
