Chemical cleaning and scaling removal process:

Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning

Recirculation cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash piping lines to form a circuit, creating a closed-loop system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid cleaning reaches a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to create a recirculation circuit for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.

Pilot cleaning

No two gray pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single gray pipe can be used for open-loop cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the gray pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and then injecting it into the gray pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown

This process involves continuously injecting a specific quantity of acidic fluid into the ash pipeline while the pipeline is正常运行 without interruption. Simultaneously, a certain amount of ash-pipeline running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline cleaning descaler is injected for open-loop cleaning. The primary role of the cleaning aid is to promote the reaction between the acidic fluid and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water and reducing the occurrence of gas blockages, ensuring the quality of ash pipeline cleaning.

The procedure is as follows: Prior to cleaning, estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate for the sludge conveying pipeline by considering the grey water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, collect samples at the front end of the grey pipe every 30 minutes to test acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, test the pH value at the end of the grey pipe every 15 minutes. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning process can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning machinery
High-pressure water jet cleaning is efficient, cost-effective, non-damaging to workpieces, environmentally friendly, easy to operate, and safe.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:

(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipes and the inner holes of heat exchangers can completely remove scale and obstructions from inside the tubes, revealing the metal surface. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, can fully destroy hard scale and obstructions without causing any damage to the metal.

The high-pressure water pressure is less than the tensile strength grade of metal, so high-pressure cleaning will not damage the surface being cleaned.

(2) Rapid Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined crushing effects of water jet washing, splitting, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning process several to tens of times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening, simple mechanical, and manual methods.

Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical must be rinsed off with clear water.

Pipe Scale

(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: water scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and pipe walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times less than that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it severely impairs heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can also lead to the metal material being damaged due to localized overheating, potentially causing pipe explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, leading to pipeline lime scale corrosion and hastening the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
