When selecting purification boards, you often hear about handcrafted purification boards and machine-made purification boards. So, what's the difference between them?
I. In terms of production technology:
① Handcrafted purification boards are produced manually, while mechanical purification boards are manufactured by machines.
Handcrafted purification boards can be compounded with various core materials, such as magnesium oxide + rock wool (or gypsum + rock wool, magnesium oxide + aluminum honeycomb, gypsum + aluminum honeycomb, etc.), allowing for the combination of two core materials.
③Mechanical purification boards generally can only be compounded with one core material, such as pure rock wool purification boards (Class A fire rating, most commonly used), silicon rock purification boards (B1 fire rating, lightweight, low thermal conductivity), magnesium sulfate purification boards (Class A fire rating, used for heavy-duty suspended ceilings, high strength), and aluminum honeycomb purification boards (B1 fire rating, lightweight, good high-temperature stability), etc.
Two: Regarding the production patterns:
The handcrafted panels are surrounded by galvanized studs, offering greater overall strength and the capability to be crafted into various shapes such as the Chinese character style and undulating designs.
The mechanism board is sealed with steel strips, which is not as strong as the handcrafted board, and the installation method is tongue-and-groove.
III. In terms of pricing:
The price of hand-purified boards is higher than that of machine-purified boards.
The handmade purification panels excel in both overall production processes and product performance compared to machine-made purification panels, hence, they are also priced higher.
Four: In terms of production efficiency:
The production efficiency of mechanical boards exceeds that of manual boards.
② The daily output and production speed of the mechanical purification boards are both higher than those of the handcrafted purification boards.
Mechanical purification panels offer the significant advantage of lower cost and higher production volume compared to handcrafted purification panels.
Mechanical purification boards can be used in ordinary clean environments, offering fast production speeds and short delivery cycles. These boards are produced to standard specifications, with widths typically available in 1150 and 950 sizes. The ends of the boards are sealed with steel plates, which are pressed together for a secure edge, and are mostly of tongue-and-groove design for easy insertion and quick installation.
To enhance board strength, longitudinal reinforcing ribs can be added. Suitable for use in wall panels with a maximum length of no more than 6 meters, it is not recommended for ceiling applications due to its board type.
In consideration, if performance isn't a major concern, mechanical purification boards can be a viable option. However, for higher quality requirements of the material, handcrafted purification boards are a must.
