Electric flat cars, also known as electric flatbed trucks, electric level cars, trolleys, crossover vehicles, electric track cars, and ground climbers, are a type of轨内电动厂内运输车辆. Firstly, they are track-based transport vehicles that require a track to be laid on the ground, typically with an I-beam-like surface contact track. Secondly, they are electric-powered vehicles that automatically operate under the drive of an electric motor and reducer. Moreover, they are flatbed vehicles with a level deck and no canopy, which can also be non-planar but without a canopy in special cases. The body lacks a steering wheel, with only forward and reverse directions (even turns are made by following the track). These vehicles are characterized by their simple structure, ease of use, high load-bearing capacity, resistance to dirt and impact, ease of maintenance, and long service life. Due to their convenience, robustness, affordability, practicality, and ease of cleaning, they have become a common means of transporting heavy loads over short distances within and between factory buildings.
Electric trolleys are mainly used in mobile lifting water carriage; electric loading and unloading cars for brickworks, kiln factories, refractory factories, ceramic factories, and calcining factories; electric transportation vehicles for engineering, tunnels, and environmental sanitation; as well as electric dump trucks and electric sanitation collection vehicles. Electric transportation and dump trucks are also used in flour mills, mining plants, foundries, chemical factories, furnace material factories, and farms.
