(One) Construction of the Bio-Diffusion Sphere (Rapid Separation Biochemical Sphere)
Volcanic Rock Biological Filler
2. Acid and alkali-resistant polypropylene suspended spheres.
3. Selected and domesticated microbial strains.
4. Flowing Ball (Rapid Separation Bio-Sphere) Specifications: The most commonly used plastic suspended balls are generally 12cm and 10cm in diameter. The particle sizes of the volcanic rock bio-fill materials that come with the package are 20-30mm and 10-20mm, respectively.
(B) Characteristics of the Bio-Flowing Sphere (Rapid Separation Biochemical Sphere)
1. By immobilizing effective microorganisms on the surface of the matrix, their retention time is significantly prolonged, thereby allowing for more effective screening and domestication of the microorganisms.
2. The presence of various dissolved oxygen environments and surfaces conducive to the attachment of multiple microorganisms diversifies the microbial community associated with the free-floating spheres (rapid separation bio-spheres), also making simultaneous nitrification and denitrification possible.
Microbial populations are much richer than those in activated sludge processes, thus certain organic substances that are not biodegradable by conventional activated sludge methods can be decomposed.
The "flowing ball" (quick-separation bio-degradable ball) can still be decomposed by biochemical processes.
Due to the abundant microbial growth environment in the free ball (rapid separation biochemical ball), any microorganism that has "food" has the potential to reproduce within the free ball (rapid separation biochemical ball). Therefore, the remaining biological sludge in the free ball (rapid separation biochemical ball) system will come into contact and react with microorganisms that feed on biological sludge, driven by air and water flow, leading to the degradation of the remaining biological sludge.
(3) Principle of Flowing Ball (Quick Separation Bio-Sphere) Technology
The "stream segregation" phenomenon is a natural occurrence where fluids inherently flow at different speeds, creating areas of faster and slower flow. In the movement of fluids, solid particles and colloidal organic matter tend to concentrate and accumulate from the side with faster flow to the side with slower flow, which is referred to as "stream segregation."
"Flow Separation," a new organic wastewater treatment technology that emerged in recent years, operates without pressure and requires only slight water movement. The technology utilizes special surface-treated spherical materials and aggregates as the medium. As wastewater flows, there is a faster velocity outside the spheres and a slower velocity inside them, causing floating particles to concentrate in the slower-flowing areas, leading to the flow separation phenomenon. After numerous flow separation processes, solid and colloidal organic matter in the wastewater are separated from the water. The water remains in the flow separation bio-reactor for several hours, while impurities are retained for days or weeks, being biologically decomposed by microorganisms附着 on the spherical surfaces, converting them into H2O, CO2, and N2. The performance characteristics of the flow separation bio-technology:
3. The smaller the angle between the packing and the horizontal plane, the stronger the redistributing water flow capability, and the better the contact between microorganisms and organic matter.
The more dissolved, the better the CODcr and BOD5 removal efficiency.
4. The flowing biochemical spheres (rapid-separation biochemical spheres) accelerate the attachment rate of biofilms and the accumulation rate of biomass. Due to the low biomass loss caused by the shearing force of the porous spheres, these spheres decompose organic matter in the flowing water under varying environmental conditions, demonstrating stable performance.
5. During actual operation, the floating bio-sphere (fast separation bio-sphere) is used as fill material in the filter pond, serving both as a floating medium. It promotes rapid microbial growth, short startup time, and can maintain a high biochemical load.
6. The Flowing Ball (Rapid Separation Biochemical Ball) operates in a variable environment of aerobic, anaerobic, and aerobic states. Water trickles through the ball, purifying wastewater. Measured data indicates good results, with a general CODcr removal rate of 70-98% and a BOD5 removal rate exceeding 85%. The key process is highly simplified, occupying a small area, with low construction costs and operating expenses, and a high degree of automation.
(4) Floating Ball (Rapid Separation Bio-Sphere) Technology Application
The Bio-Flow Sphere (Rapid Separation Bio-Sphere) boasts high loading capacity, strong impact resistance, excellent treatment effects, minimal land occupation, simple operation and management, and minimal residual sludge. It can be widely applied in municipal wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and biological odor control fields.
