Spiral plate heat exchangers are made from a single sheet of steel plate, forming two even spiral channels. The two heat transfer mediums can flow in a fully counter-current manner, significantly enhancing the heat exchange efficiency. The connections on the shell are designed with a tangential structure, resulting in low local resistance. Due to the uniform curvature of the spiral channels, the fluid flow within the equipment experiences minimal direction changes, leading to a low total resistance. This allows for an increased design flow rate, thereby providing higher heat transfer capabilities. When selecting equipment, appropriate process calculations are employed to ensure the medium within the equipment channels reaches a turbulent state (typically, liquid flow velocity greater than 1m/s; gas greater than 10m/s).
