Its density ranges from 1.41 to 1.43 g/cm³, with a molding shrinkage of 1.2-3.0%. The molding temperature is between 170-200°C, and the drying conditions are 80-90°C for 2 hours. POM has moderate long-term heat resistance but can reach up to 160°C in the short term. Homopolymer POM has a higher short-term heat resistance than copolymer POM by over 10°C, but the long-term heat resistance of copolymer POM is about 10°C higher than that of homopolymer POM. It can be used over a long period at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 100°C. POM is highly susceptible to decomposition at 240 degrees Celsius, during which it emits刺激性 and corrosive gases.
