PA6, also known as Nylon 6, is a crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastic.PA66 is compared to PA6 with higher mechanical strength, hardness, heat resistance (of aliphatic polyamide), and resistance to deformation, lower water absorption, and better insulating properties. Compared to PA6, the material is denser, harder, and more brittle. Instead of polyamide 6, a higher density and hardness material sacrifices elasticity.PA6 is widely used in the automotive industry, where plastics are a significant and rapidly growing market. PA6 boasts excellent overall properties, low density, ease of molding, high design flexibility, thermal insulation, and significant cost advantages in mold and assembly. PA6 not only has high tensile strength and good impact resistance but also high heat deflection temperature, heat resistance, low friction coefficient, wear resistance, self-lubricating, and excellent oil and chemical resistance. Particularly, it is suitable for being filled with glass fiber or other materials for reinforcement and modification, enhancing material properties and grades, and meeting the requirements of final components and customers.
