Nylon 6, also known as PA6, polyamide 6, and nylon 6, is a polymer. As of October 27, 2017, based on the preliminary compilation of carcinogens listed by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization, Nylon 6 is included in the 3rd category of carcinogens. While it shares similar chemical and physical properties with nylon 66, Nylon 6 has a lower melting point and a wider processing temperature range. It exhibits better impact and solvent resistance than nylon 66 plastics, but is also more hygroscopic. Special attention should be given to the drying process before processing due to Nylon 6's tendency to absorb moisture. If the material is supplied in moisture-proof packaging, the container should remain sealed.Used for manufacturing bearings, round gears, cams, bevel gears, various rollers, pulleys, impellers, fan blades, worm gears, etc.
