PA6 is a milky white or faintly yellow transparent to opaque, crystalline polymer with good colorability, toughness, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low rigidity, low-temperature resistance, resistance to bacteria, and slow combustion. It extinguishes slowly after being removed from the flame, exhibiting dripping and foaming phenomena. Its molding and processing capabilities include injection molding, blow molding, casting, spraying, powder molding, machining, welding, and bonding. PA6 has poor water absorption and poor dimensional stability, which affects its electrical properties (breakdown voltage). The service temperature of PA6 can reach 180°C, but it can be reduced to 160°C by adding impact-modifying agents. Reinforced with 15%-50% glass fiber, it can be increased to 199°C. Inorganic-filled PA6 can enhance its heat deflection temperature.
