In the internal lining of steam boilers, the use of不定形耐火衬料is early and widespread. Generally, aluminous cement heavy or light refractory castables are used.
In the petrochemical industry, tubular heaters utilize lightweight refractory castables and refractory fiber coatings for lining, offering good application effects. In ethylene equipment, there are also many applications of不定形耐火材料irregular refractory materials. Various conversion furnace linings are used at temperatures ranging from 600 to 1500°C, generally employing aluminate cement refractory castables, low-cement refractory castables, and corundum refractory castables, among others.
In cement kiln linings, high-alumina or magnesia refractory bricks, and coal-chromium bricks are commonly used, with some employing unshaped refractory materials. The main types include low-cement refractory castables, aluminous cement refractory castables, silicon carbide refractory castables, and insulating castables, among others.
In the glass furnace profession, the tin bath on the float glass production line is made of refractory castable material. For the thermal insulation of new pool furnaces, silicon-based insulating castable is generally used. In the event of damage to the glass pool furnace, silicon-based repair material is used for repairs.
Industrial ceramic kilns are also made with silicon carbide refractory castable and lightweight refractory castable.
