Interior and exterior plastic-coated steel pipe structure: Utilizes a high-temperature electrostatic spraying process to apply epoxy powder coating to the surface of steel pipes, forming a single film in one application. The coating boasts advantages such as simple application, non-pollution, excellent impact and bending resistance, and high temperature resistance.
The coated steel pipes, both interior and exterior, can be categorized by their applications into several types, such as water supply pipes for potable water, fire-resistant coated composite steel pipes, cable protection pipes, and steel pipes for community gas transmission. They can also be divided based on connection methods, including groove-type coated steel pipes connected with clamps, large-diameter welded coated steel pipes, and flange-connected coated steel pipes with焊接法兰 at both ends. The pipes come in various colors, commonly including red, blue, yellow, white, and green. Additionally, there are specialized coated steel pipes with UV resistance (UV-resistant) for outdoor use and flame-retardant coated steel pipes produced with flame-retardant powder.
Fused epoxy resin (FBE) has been used for over 40 years as a standalone coating for single or double-layer systems and as a primer for multi-layer systems due to its exceptional long-term performance, making it the standard anti-corrosion coating material for global pipelines. Throughout the industry's evolution in oil exploration and transportation, efforts have been made to delay the corrosion of strategic and valuable assets, such as pipelines, which has spurred the development of new FBE anti-corrosion coatings. The FBE formula utilizes solid epoxy resin, which, when properly proportioned, allows the FBE coating to meet higher performance requirements, addressing more severe challenges in field use. The Dow Coating Materials Division (DCM) has been collaborating with customers and industry organizations to develop cost-effective solutions for high-performance FBE coatings.
