How to Set Full Screen on an LED Display?

Many customers find that after installing their display screens, everything seems to be fine during the setup. However, when in use or during meetings, various issues often arise. One common problem for those new to LED screens is the unfill screen state, which can be quite frustrating. No matter how adjustments are made, black borders still appear. How do you set an LED display to full screen?

Adjust the PPT design aspect ratio to this one. For square screens, a 16:9 ratio will distort, and if it's not this ratio, it won't fill the screen. It's time to use the processor for adjustment.

Reasons and Solutions for LED Display Not Filling the Screen

Resolution Issue

We just need to slightly increase the resolution to enable full-screen display. First, click on an empty spot on the desktop, then right-click, and select 'Screen Resolution Settings.' Adjust the screen to its best resolution.

2. Graphics Card Driver Issue

If the LED display screen's graphics card lacks drivers or the drivers are problematic, it may also cause issues with the computer screen not displaying in full screen. The specific solution is to download and install a Driver Talent or DriverMax, then update the graphics card drivers.

3. If there are black borders around the screen and it's not filling the screen, check if a professional player is being used, such as for images and videos. When we play them using the computer's built-in software, a border is inevitable. To eliminate the border, you'll need to use a borderless player. I recommend a few players that can remove the borders (vmix, P1 Experience Version, Apple System PVP). These are free and easy to operate.

4. If there are black borders even with a professional player, check if the player's output resolution is set to an optimal state. Typically, standard 2k output is 1920*1080 resolution; see if there have been any changes. Next, verify that the input and output resolutions on the processor side are adjusted to appropriate parameters, as these could also be the cause of the black borders.

5. If using an LED screen to play a PowerPoint presentation, we can adjust the PPT's aspect ratio to achieve full-screen mode. Typically, our full-screen aspect ratio is 16:9; adjusting all PPT designs to this ratio is sufficient. For square screens, 16:9 will distort the image; if not this ratio, full-screen mode won't be achieved. That's when you'll need to use a processor for adjustment.
