The tank employs a high vacuum, multi-layer insulation structure, with adsorbents installed in the vacuum cavity to maintain its vacuum level over a long period. The tank lid consists of a cap and a core plug, where the core plug is made of high-performance insulating rigid foam plastic, serving dual functions of reducing liquid nitrogen evaporation and securing the lifting cylinder. To minimize evaporation of liquid nitrogen in the tank's operational state, the lifting cylinder is made of stainless steel.
