What are the methods for cutting, demolition, and crushing of concrete support beams?

1. Blasting Demolition: Drills holes in the support beams using jackhammers, then manually and mechanically chisel away the concrete blocks after setting explosives. Advantages include rapid construction speed, simple cleanup, and lower costs. Disadvantages are the difficulty in obtaining relevant permits, significant impact on the surrounding area, and certain limitations.

Static爆破Demolition: Static crushing, also known as static blasting, involves the process of drill holes with a hammer drill → inject expansion crushing agent → hammer drill chiseling; use a pneumatic hammer to chisel the surface of the support beam, cut the rebar, then drill holes in the beam, set the expansion agent, which will expand after reaction and force the beam to crack. Subsequently, use a pneumatic hammer for chiseling and breaking, followed by cleaning. Advantages include no limitations, relatively safe, easy cleaning, and moderate cost; disadvantages include slow construction speed and the need for a large number of construction workers.

3. Cutting and Demolition: Support the beams, then cut and segment the beam using cutting methods (such as rope saws or disk saws). Lift the segments to the edge of the foundation pit for crushing or transport them to a designated location for crushing and steel recovery. The limitation of this method is that there must be space for large cranes around the foundation pit. The advantages include rapid construction speed, suitability for projects with tight schedules, and relatively lower costs when large cranes are available. The disadvantages are the high site requirements, the need for crane placement space, difficult transportation with high costs, and the inability to store and crush on-site, which can increase costs.

Four: Combined Cutting and Static Crushing Demolition: For foundation pits where large cranes can be placed in some areas but are limited in others, a method of simultaneous mechanical cutting and static crushing can be employed. This approach can ensure the maximum construction timeline, while also requiring relatively fewer personnel in the cutting and crushing teams.

V. Demolition of Concrete Rafter: Generally, it is recommended to use static blasting for the removal of concrete rafters, as they are connected to continuous walls on one side. Cutting methods would incur high construction costs.
