Previously, we briefly introduced you to the relevant knowledge of tiles commonly used around us. There is still much to learn about the usage of these tiles, as there are indeed countless types of tiles around us. The tube tile is an important material needed for constructing ancient-style buildings. When installing tube tiles, what kind of construction process should we follow? Below, the editor will introduce the construction process for tube tiles.

Tile roofs are narrow shingles used for large temples and palaces, made in cylindrical form, molded in halves, and fired into tiles. They are generally made from clay. The flatness of the sub-layer of the roof surface should not exceed 1cm. During construction, ensure that the concave and convex ridges, as well as the eaves and the roof ridge, are aligned with a straight line. In the waterproofing treatment of ancient architectural roofs, the use of lime is quite common and meticulous. The use of mud and lime backs, commonly referred to as felt backs, serves both waterproofing and insulation purposes. Generally, an insulating layer is placed above the joists, in conjunction with the tile roof waterproofing, which is the first process on the roof after the joists, flying joists, and rafter boards are nailed in place. Of course, in ordinary residential buildings, felt backing construction is not usually done, and tiles are directly laid on the joists. A more refined approach involves using double-layered tiles, where a layer of base tiles, usually flat tiles, is laid on the joists, and then the cylindrical tiles are placed on top. Adhesive mud that sticks to the tile surface should be wiped off immediately to avoid affecting the decorative effect. Avoid overly flat slopes for the roof, especially in steeply sloped areas. Hanger nails can also be used, and it is especially important to ensure safety when dealing with the entire quantity, particularly in typhoon-prone regions.
