To enhance the product performance of expanded perlite, it is imperative to promptly develop the research and production of spherical, non-porous expanded perlite. Initially, the perlite ore entering the furnace should be as near-spherical as possible, rather than the irregular shapes suitable for particle size in the past; this will improve the kiln structure and enhance the strength of the expanded perlite.
2) Perlite ore is finely and ultra-finely milled, and chemically treated on the surface to become a functional mineral filler, which can be widely used in industries such as rubber, plastic, cables, paint, and inks.
3) Perlite is being utilized in animal feed and agricultural crop planting, and has achieved initial results. This includes its use as an additive for animal feed, bedding material in chicken coops, fillers, anti-caking agents, and additives to improve fluidity, as well as in veterinary preparations, insecticides, fertilizers, carriers for trace elements, absorbents, or adsorbents. Additionally, it is used for separating culture media and for other purposes. In summary, the further utilization of filter paper and perlite clarifying agents, as well as horticultural and filling materials, will elevate the level of our perlite industry. The perlite industry in our country holds great prospects for development.
