To protect goods and enhance their operational feasibility during export, packaging is generally employed. Wooden boxes, in particular, often feature numerous labels and English letters. To those unfamiliar with the logistics and wooden packaging industry, the meanings of these labels can be easily misunderstood. In fact, the labels on wooden boxes are categorized into several types based on their content. Below, we briefly introduce the common types of labels found on wooden boxes?
1. Shipping Identification
Transportation markings on different wooden boxes vary, typically consisting of simple alphanumeric characters to prevent shipment errors. Generally, wooden box packaging includes the recipient's name, order number, destination, and item number, all of which are visible on the front and side. The front displays the product name, contract number, brand, and destination, while the side indicates the product's weight, dimensions, and quantity.
2. Directive signage
Indicative labels are reminders of the precautions to take during the transportation of wooden box packaging. Common indicative labels include "Handle with Care," "Keep Dry," and "No Exposure to Sunlight," as the contents within the wooden boxes can vary. For instance, if it contains fragile items like cups.
Then, the "Fragile" label must be affixed to all four sides of the wooden crate, specifically in the upper left corner. Items susceptible to moisture should be marked with a "Rain Umbrella" moisture protection symbol; the "Center of Gravity" symbol is not the midpoint of the crate, but should be placed on two opposite sides to ensure it is within the forklift operator's line of sight during handling.
3. Warning Sign
Warning labels are used to alert to hazardous materials within wooden crates. Typically, goods requiring such warnings include explosives, flammable materials, toxic substances, corrosive items, oxidizers, and radioactive materials, among other hazardous commodities. These items are marked with warning labels, indicating the need for appropriate protective measures.
