The coking industry's coking production process involves heating coal into coke using blast furnace gas or coke oven gas. This process emits exhaust gases containing major pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates, which are directly released into the atmosphere, polluting the environment. Amidst increasingly stringent environmental protection measures, the coking industry has been implementing various environmental protection projects from source, process, and end-to-end, to meet the emission requirements of GB16171-2012 "Emission Standards for Pollutants from Coke Chemical Industry." From a long-term perspective, the organization is implementing desulfurization and denitrification projects for exhaust gases.
Typical coke oven plants operate desulfurization, denitrification, and dedusting fans without shutting down the coke ovens. Afterward, they close the flue gas valves to redirect all flue gases to a shared chimney with the coke oven. Due to long-term high temperatures, the flue gas valves may deform, leading to sticking and inoperable issues. Flue gases from the desulfurization and denitrification fans can return to the intake from partially closed plug valves, causing short-circuiting and insufficient suction in the coke oven, posing a safety risk of incomplete combustion gas entering the flue. Zhaosheng Environmental Protection's electric hydraulic plug-and-pull valve is located outside the flue, allowing the plug valve to avoid flue gas corrosion when opened, thus extending its service life. The combination of metal hard sealing and graphite soft sealing technology effectively prevents internal and external leakage of flue gases. Driven by electric hydraulic means, it offers significant thrust and pull, eliminating sticking issues. The plug valve resolves past problems with flue gas valves, such as sticking, inoperability, high-temperature deformation, short service life, and poor sealing. It ensures coke oven temperature while eliminating safety hazards.
Without the flue gas desulfurization and denitrification system, the flue gas produced by the coke oven combustion is collected from the side smoke ducts of the coke oven and discharged through the main smoke duct into the chimney. After the installation of the flue gas desulfurization and denitrification system, two openings are created in the main smoke duct: one for gas extraction and the other for gas return. A butterfly valve is placed between the two openings to isolate the chimney from the smoke duct. The flue gas is then extracted from the main smoke duct via the gas extraction opening, treated for desulfurization and denitrification, and finally returned to the coke oven chimney through the gas return opening.
As environmental challenges grow increasingly severe, Chanzhong Environmental Protection is committed to joining hands with all sectors of society to shoulder the responsibilities of both society and history, and to advance the progress of human civilization.
