The smoke damper door is a crucial equipment for the entry and exit of desulfurization units, divided into flue gas desulfurization (FGD) main smoke dampers (including primary flue gas damper door and clean flue gas damper door) and bypass smoke dampers. Under normal operation of the desulfurization system, the flue gas exiting the boiler electrostatic precipitator is directed through the FGD system inlet damper door to the booster fan, then cooled by the flue gas heat exchanger before entering the absorption tower. The desulfurized flue gas is heated to around 80°C by the flue gas heat exchanger and passes through the FGD outlet smoke damper door into the chimney.
The FGD system is equipped with a bypass duct, which includes a bypass damper door. In the event of maintenance, repair, or abnormal flue gas conditions in the FGD system, flue gas is directly discharged into the chimney through the bypass duct to ensure the safety of the desulfurization system. The damper door plays a crucial role in ensuring the normal, stable operation of the boiler and desulfurization system, as well as the safety of the system equipment.
