To ensure that axial flow pumps can perform even better in their operations, it is crucial for Guangdong Pump Manufacturers to pay close attention to alignment and straightening during installation. How should one go about it? Today, I will give you a brief introduction.
1. When installing a vertical axial flow pump, ensure the motor shaft and pump base are properly aligned. This ensures that the centrifugal pump's rubber bearing holes on either side are perpendicular to the rolling bearing holes of the motor shaft bracket. This process is referred to as alignment and centering. Alignment and centering are mutually dependent, and it requires multiple iterations to achieve both level and vertical alignment that meets standards.
During the assembly of the pump shell components, the centerlines of the guide vane housing, the centrifugal impeller housing, and the waterproof sleeve should align with the centerline of the pump base. The parallelism should be between φ0.3 to 0.5mm; the level deviation on the pump base flange surface should not exceed 0.05/1000; and all sliding flange surfaces should fit tightly without any leakage.
3. According to the centrifugal pump design logo, position the base of the centrifugal pump. After securely fastening the guide vane body and the intermediate flange with screws, place them together on the base, aligning the intermediate flange position so that the centerline and the axis of the centrifugal pump's leak water intake pipe coincide. Additionally, use a level to check the flatness of the flange surface.
4. After the pump housing assembly is aligned and leveled, and the concrete strength at the local foot bolt area reaches over 90%, the assembly of the rotating components can begin. The key to the axial flow pump installation is the flatness of the centrifugal pump and motor base; as well as the concentricity and flatness of the pump shaft, rotating shaft, and motor shaft. These three standards must be considered separately, without looking back and forth.
After aligning and straightening the axial flow pump, tighten the machine and pump support foot screws to ensure that it can fully exert its enhanced efficiency and function in future applications.
